Is my financial data secure and private?
Yes, 100%. MExpense enforces zero-tracking pixels and never sells your data. In the mobile app, your database is kept locally using encrypted sqlite/Hive storage. In the web edition, sessions use httpOnly signed cookies and PostgreSQL encryption.
Can I export or import my transactions to Excel/CSV?
Absolutely. Both the Next.js web application and the Flutter mobile app support full-featured CSV and Excel (.xlsx) export and bulk import with customizable column mappings.
How do I toggle between English and Bengali or Dark and Light mode?
Use the top header controls on any page to switch languages and toggle between Sentry Midnight dark mode and clean daylight mode instantly.
Is MExpense self-hostable?
Yes! MExpense is built with Bun, Next.js, and Prisma on PostgreSQL. You can run the entire stack on your own VPS or private Docker container without vendor lock-in.
