MExpense prioritizes your financial confidentiality above all else. We believe your earnings, expenses, budgets, and debts belong exclusively to you.
We do not deploy third-party advertising tracking pixels, commercial profiling cookies, or data-brokering telemetry.
2. Information We Collect and Store
To operate the financial tracking suite effectively, we process only essential, user-provided information:
- Account Credentials: Name, email address, and cryptographically hashed passwords (Argon2id/bcrypt).
- Financial Records: Transactions, budget categories, accounts, and debt ledgers that you record voluntarily.
- Interface Preferences: Language selection (English/Bangla) and interface theme (dark/light), saved locally on your device.
3. Data Security & Self-Hosting
Our cloud infrastructure secures your records using PostgreSQL encryption at rest, HTTPS/TLS in transit, and httpOnly encrypted session tokens. Additionally, MExpense architecture is self-hostable, empowering engineers to run their database on local Docker or private clusters.
4. Data Portability & Deletion Rights
You maintain 100% ownership over your financial logs. You can export your full data snapshot at any time in structured CSV or JSON formats, or execute a permanent wipe directly from the dashboard settings.
